Our Ministry Has Been Averaging 1 Salvation a Day
God is doing some amazing things through our ministry. It’s an honor to be a part of what He is doing. We have a pastor on staff that talks with people searching for answers about Jesus and Christianity and he has confirmed, on average, one saved person a day. More than half these people come from predominately Muslim countries where their only safe communication about Jesus comes from emails between our pastor.
We know the devil hates this.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. – 1 Peter 5:8
Our Bigger Evangelistic Plan
Our ministry has recently been having more and more conversations about how we can do more, lead more people to Jesus, and give a safe place for people to ask questions about Christianity. It’s no coincidence that this is when we started having problems with the FB messenger bot, including more attacks on employees of the ministry. The FB messenger bot is a key part of our ministry because it helps fund what we are doing.
Why We Think God Allowed the Attacks
Satan can do only what God allows or permits (Job 1) and we think God was trying to teach us (and maybe you) a lesson about trusting and relying fully on Him. Because the ministry is self-funded (meaning that we do this full-time), it can be something that I forget to include God in. That may seem strange since this is a ministry but sometimes I have this feeling of “I” need to do this or do that and the ministry will be more successful. But really all I need to do is trust in God more and let Him lead the way. Allowing God to have 100% control over something can be hard but He knew the one way to really get my attention. That is why I think God allowed this to happen.
After all this, I finally decided that I needed to just pray and read the Bible. I took time away from trying to fix things to just praying and reading. I told God that I wanted Him to have control over the Ministry and that I trusted Him to do what was best.
The Breakthrough
After praying, I went back to my computer and there in my inbox was a breakthrough we needed. I won’t go into all the details here but it was something we had been waiting for. It was one of the signs that God gave me as reassurance of what was happening was for the good of our business and for me personally.
I hope this story can be an encouragement to you too. Is there something you have not given God control over in your life?
We are Truly Sorry
We are so sorry for the spam-looking and unwanted messages. This has put a bad light on the Ministry but this is not at all how we operate here. We know that the messenger bot was not “listening” to unsubscribes and so some people got messages when they asked to stop receiving them. We also know that some people got the same message over and over. Our promise to you is that we will do everything we can to prevent this in the future.
What We are Doing to Fix This
This whole issue came about from us trying to move to a new provider that sent the messages to you. It was something that we were doing to help save the ministry money but ultimately we moved a little too fast. We have learned from this and we are going to be much better in the future.
We have moved back to the provider that did not cause these issues and any future changes that we make will be tested much more before we even send messages to you.
Will You Pray for Us?
We believe in prayer and could use as much of it as possible. We want the ministry to reach more people. Could you pray that God gives the team wisdom and direction, protection for new brother and sisters in Christ, and a special prayer request from one of our team members (intentionally vague)?
We would like to give you updates (no more than 1 a month) on what our ministry is doing. If you would like to receive those, you can sign up below.
