Those who Mourn

People will have different reactions to the appearance of Jesus Christ. For those who believe, it will be a time of rejoicing, but for those who have rejected Christ, it will be a time of terror. The Apostle John wrote, “Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen” (Revelation 1:7).

No More Death

About the best news in the Book of Revelation is the fact that all of this world’s pain, sorrow, and suffering will end. Someday, God “will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4). For me, it cannot happen soon enough.

God and Man

When Jesus was on earth, man did dwell with God, as Jesus is both God and Man, but the day is coming when we who’ve never seen God, will “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God” (Revelation 21:3). Don’t you have the strong desire to see Jesus for the very first time? That time is surely coming.

All Nations

When the New Jerusalem is established, and the kingdom of God on earth reigns, “All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed” (Revelation 15:4b). Today, all the nations of the world do not worship the One, true God. Many have their own gods, but they are not like God. God alone is to be worshiped, and someday He will be worshiped on a global scale by all nations.

Face to Face

Not only can we be in the presence of God someday (Revelation 21:3), we can see God for the very first time, face to face. John says, “They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads” (Revelation 22:4). What those names will be is still a mystery. I don’t think our new names can be known yet, but the main thing is, we get to see God for the first time, but it won’t be the last time.
