5 Stories From The Bible About Israel’s Future

Here are 5 great stories to read about Israel’s future.

Not Rejected

To the world, Israel looks like God has rejected her.  She is such a small nation and is surrounded by enemies, so it would appear Israel could go out of existence at any moment, but the Apostle Paul asked if “God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin.  God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew” (Romans 11:1-2a). God has not finished with the nation of Israel.

A New Covenant

In the first century, millions of Jews were saved when they heard the gospel of Jesus Christ, but that was only possible because God gave them new hearts.  Jeremiah’s prophecy said, “this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (Jeremiah 31:34a). There will be no need for evangelists then, since “they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more” (Jeremiah 31:34b).

Blessed by Blessing

When we bless others, others are blessed, but so are we.  It’s reaping what we sow, but God also blessed His own chosen people.  God told Abraham about His descendants, that “I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:3).  Everyone who has believed in Christ has been blessed…blessed by measure.

Sojourners

At best, Christians are pilgrims or sojourners…only passing through this life in preparation for the next.  Right now we are learning more about God and fulfilling His will, but even to the ancient descendants of Abraham, who are the present-day Jews, God says, “I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God” (Genesis 17:8).

Israel Returns

The day is coming when Israel will again live in the land of promise.  Hosea the Prophet wrote that “the children of Israel shall dwell many days without king or prince” (Hosea 3:4), but “Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the Lord their God, and David their king, and they shall come in fear to the Lord and to his goodness in the latter days” (Hosea 3:5).  The “latter days” will surely come as God’s Word cannot be broken.

Against all odds, Israel has survived, and will survive until the King of king’s and Lord of Lord’s appears, so if you enjoyed these top 13 Bible verses about Israel’s future, please share them with someone else right now.
